Video Editor - Main / Gaming Channel

About the role

We’re looking for a creative YouTube video editor who can fully adapt to our signature editing style and give our content its own distinctive look and feel. If you’re a passionate storyteller with at least intermediate technical video editing skills and a good understanding of YouTube, you’re exactly who we’re after.

We’re not just after technical ability; we want someone who edits creatively, keeps viewers on the edge of their seat, and brings ideas that take our content to the next level. As an editor you’ll work closely with Pokeccc and talk your ideas through directly.

What you’ll be doing:

• Editing 2 videos per week for the Pokeccc YouTube channel (a full-time workload)
• Hitting deadlines and keeping the quality high even under time pressure
• Actively following YouTube trends and bringing innovative techniques into our content

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with video editing
• The ability to adapt to our YouTube editing style
• Collaboration and quick communication
• Flexibility with your time
• The ability to take constructive criticism and stay in a cycle of learning and improving
• An excellent understanding of YouTube, its algorithms and its latest trends
• A creative approach to editing and the ability to bring fresh ideas and innovation
• Working knowledge of English
